Olga Barroso


She is a psychologist specialized in Gender-Based Violence, with extensive experience in providing direct support to women and minors who have survived male violence. For 13 years, she coordinated and worked as one of the psychologists in various specialized gender violence services run by the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid.

She holds a Diploma in Child-Systemic Trauma Therapy from IFIV in Barcelona, directed by Jorge Barudy and Maryorie Dantagnan. She also has experience working with minors in contexts of social exclusion and with children who have experienced traumatic events during childhood.

Since 2007, she has worked as a trainer for various organizations, especially for the Official College of Psychologists of Madrid, Formación Psicoterapia, and institutions dedicated to child protection and the care of people affected by traumatic experiences.

Since 2016, she has been a Supervisor for teams working with victims of Gender-Based Violence within the Madrid Gender Violence Support Network and other regional networks across Spain. She also supervises teams working in the field of severe mental health care.

Currently, she combines these two professional areas with private clinical practice as a psychologist.
